Farmer's Bread (Οι αγρότες Ψωμί)

There is simply nothing like it, the smell, the taste, of homemade bread.

Prep Time: 1 hour
Cooking Time: 45 minutes
Yeilds: 1 loaf

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams white flourfarmersbread
  • 4 tsp. instant yeast
  • 2 tsp. Sugar
  • 300 ml. lukewarm water
  • 1 tbs. Oil
  • 2 tsp. salt

Preparation:

  1. Put the flour in a bowl.
  2. Make a well in the middle. 
  3. Put the yeast and the sugar in the well. 
  4. Pour water over. 
  5. Mix slightly. 
  6. Cover and put in a warm place for 15 minutes. 
  7. Knead, adding the salt and oil, to a smooth elastic dough. 
  8. Cover and put in a warm place for 15 minutes. 
  9. Knead thoroughly and place on a baking sheet. 
  10. Cover and put in a warm place for 15 minutes. 
  11. Put in a cold oven and turn oven on to 375 degrees F. 
  12. Bake 40 to 45 minutes until golden brown. 
  13. Let cool 20 minutes before slicing.
